Association between sleep disorders on children, sociodemographic factors and the sleep of caregivers

Aim: To analyze the association between children's sleep disorders, sociodemographic factors, and caregivers' sleep.
 Method: An Epidemiological, cross-sectional, analytical study, with a quantitative approach, was carried out in two public schools Northeast of Brazil. The participants were 222 students, aged 6 11 years old, 123 caregivers. Sleep Disturbance Scale Children used for children’s evaluations. analyzed using Pittsburgh Quality Index Epworth Sleepiness Scale.
 Results: Regarding disorders children, 60.8% had good quality. Most them an adequate number hours, studied afternoon, spent less than hours front screens, no reports illnesses. There significant relationship those caregivers outside home children sleep. poor quality predominance enuresis. physical activity during free time acceptance school meals. predominated seemed to be ones care who did not present excessive daytime sleepiness illnesses.
 Conclusion: data found suggest need conduct new strategies that can promote more sleep, pre-school educational community.
